Mikko Pakari Fortec formulatallin kuljettajaksi

Mikko Pakari allekirjoitti 2. päivä joulukuuta kuljettajasopimuksen loistavasti Espanjan Motorlandissa sujuneiden testien päätteeksi menestyksekkään Fortec -formula tallin kanssa. Mikko oli molempina testipäivinä 2. nopein kuljettaja sekä kuivalla, että sateella ajetuissa testeissä.

Mikko ajaa kaudella 2012 Fortec tallin kuljettajana Renault Formula 2.0 Eurocup -sarjan kokonaisuudessaan, sekä 5-Englannin mestaruussarjan osakilpailua.

Pakari joins Fortec Eurocup squad

Finnish karting sensation Mikko Pakari is set to join the Fortec Motorsports Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup squad for 2012.

The 16-year-old, who raced in the KF1 class with Maranello Kart in 2011, makes the step up to Formula Renault 2.0 after an successful test with the team in Motorland, Spain. Pakari was consistently quick across the two-day test, finishing as the second quickest driver on both days, ending Friday's session just two thousandths of a second off the pace in an impressive showing for the young Finn.

World Series by Renault Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup Team Manager Jamie Dye was encouraged by Mikko's form and is convinced that he is a star of the future: "Mikko has been really impressive out on track - to be right on the pace like he was is no easy task and he has shown real talent and out and out speed. I'm really looking forward to seeing how he performs with us next season and I think he'll certainly be one to watch."
